On July 2nd, clients and team members from Tsuru took part in the 2025 Lawyers’ Race, organized by Appleseed México, A.C., a non-profit initiative that provides pro bono legal advice to civil society organizations in Mexico. On July 2nd, our Founding Partner, Kiyoshi Tsuru, and Irely Aquique, Partner, participated in the meeting between representatives of the Wixárika community, the Director General of the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property (IMPI), Dr. Santiago Nieto, and Congresswoman Amalia López. Kiyoshi and Irely attended in their capacity as legal advisors to the representatives of the Wixárika people, in a pro bono effort that reflects our commitment to Mexico’s Indigenous communities and the defense of their cultural rights.
